223 Bath Road, Stroud Update

Green Man Stoves are very pleased to confirm that although we previously used to trade from 223 Bath Road, Stroud, our lease came to an end, and we decided to consolidate our business at our other, larger showroom at Weston-under-Penyard (on A40 between Gloucester and Ross-on-Wye).

And here is the really great news:

  • We continue to trade very successfully and provide the same customer focused service we always have in anything stove, chimney and flue related. This includes for our many customers old and new in Stroud and the surrounding area.
  • Our reasons for leaving Stroud were business related in the interests of streamlining Green Man Stoves and making life less stressful.
  • Everyone at Green Man Stoves are very happy.

A little note concerning the new residents of our previous address:

  • There is no business or personal relationship or affiliation between Green Man Stoves and the new stove company which has taken over our old showroom at 223 Bath Road, Stroud.

Carbon Monoxide Awareness Warning

More and more the media are cottoning on to the fact that carbon monoxide poisoning is not something limited to the gas and oil arenas, following a campaign by the Health Protection Agency to promote awareness. Any burning fuel, including wood and coal releases carbon monoxide and horrifyingly about 40 people die every year and 4000 need to be treated in A&E from accidental CO poisoning. Green Man Stoves Showroom Herefordshire

New showroom in Herefordshire

We are delighted to announce that our new showroom at: The Forge, Weston-under-Penyard, Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire HR9 7NX is now open!  Click here to view map and directions or call 01989 218328.

The new sign is up and we have filled it with our most popular stoves ready for the ‘crazy’ season! We are directly opposite the Weston Cross Inn in Weston-under-Penyard.

Serendipitously, the showroom was an old blacksmith’s forge, so to bring it back into use in a related industry seems right to us. It has the added benefit of having 3 chimneys in it already including a fabulous inglenook so we have plenty of options for keeping it nice and toasty in the winter.

We are looking forward to helping new customers local to Ross-on-Wye and also not having to ask our current South Herefordshire customers to trek over to Stroud to choose their stoves!
